Transfer pricing services
In addition to our transfer pricing advisory services, we prepare the annual transfer pricing report, which must be prepared in accordance with Article 13 of Corporate Tax Law No. 5520, which includes transfer pricing regulations.
In recent years, transfer pricing has become one of the most important issues for tax administrations and multinational companies. Furthermore, governments have begun to use transfer pricing regulations more frequently to prevent a decline in tax revenues.
Although transfer pricing regulations are relatively new worldwide, the reason for their widespread use in many countries is that countries without transfer pricing regulations suffer tax losses compared to other countries. As a result, multinational companies are exposed to conflicting demands. Companies are forced by their shareholders to effectively reduce global tax rates, but at the same time, they must comply with the provisions of local legislation and the OECD Model Regulations, which vary in content and interpretation.
Faced with tax administrations’ considerations about whether multinational corporations’ pricing in transactions with their international subsidiaries is consistent with prevailing rates, multinational corporations should be able to credibly defend their pricing principles in such transactions by relying on detailed and sound economic analysis in accordance with national transfer pricing regulations.
Transfer pricing is not limited to compliance with local legislation in the country where the multinational corporation operates or is headquartered. Companies need to review and evaluate their transfer pricing policies well before engaging in international transactions, making investment decisions, or developing a global tax plan.
